This dish embodies the aromatic and tantalizing flavors of the Caribbean, with the perfect marriage of olive oil and our Jamaican Dry Jerk Rub. The robust and spicy mixture is generously spread over a tender pork shoulder, creating a flavor-packed crust that will entice your taste buds. The cooking process is simple, making it a great recipe for cooks of all levels.

The pork shoulder is then roasted at a high temperature to seal in all the flavors before reducing the heat to allow the meat to cook slowly and gently. This method ensures a tender and succulent dish, with the meat falling off the bone.

Whether it’s a special occasion or a simple family dinner, this Jamaican Jerk Roasted Pork Shoulder recipe will impress.

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Mix the olive oil and Jamaican Dry Jerk in a small bowl. Using a pastry brush, generously spread the mixture all over the pork shoulder.

Set the meat on a rack set into a roasting pan. Roast for 20 minutes, and then reduce the heat to 325 degrees F. Continue to cook until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the shoulder reads 185 degrees F, about 4 hours. Remove the pork from the oven and let stand until cool enough to handle, about 30 minutes
